Everything about our dining experience at Fig Bistro was outstanding. Our girls' weekend brought us in from San Francisco, Texas, Indiana, and Charlotte, and we ate our way through Asheville, but the five of us unanimously agreed that Fig Bistro was the most memorable dining experience of the weekend. We also dined at The Admiral and Zambra's for dinner and Tupelo Honey and Table for lunch (all wonderful). Our server, Hank, was informative and enthusiastic about food and wine pairings, which added so much to the overall experience. Hank started us with a fresh appletini that used local muddled apples (we watched him muddle) The drink was so fresh and tasty, not the neon green color that one associates with this cocktail. Once our drinks were served he took his time explaining the menu and making recommendations. The duck was superb... truly the best I have ever tasted. Our party also ordered Pho, Pappardelle, and Salmon... all delicious and very satisfying. I am lucky to be the one from Charlotte and will return again soon.
